Goulds Pump IP receives industry award
The XHD extra-heavy-duty lined slurry pump from Goulds Pump IP was chosen from among eight finalists as the most innovative pump, pumping system or other pump-related product introduced into the market within the last 12 months by the British Pump Manufacturers' Association. The pump is designed to allow mines and related operations to move heavy slurries with improved reliability at lower operating cost.
Target Logistics builds executive lodge
Target Logistics completed construction of the 100-room Judson Executive Lodge in Williams County, N.D. Rooms feature private bath, personal refrigerator, microwave, desk, wardrobe, individual climate control and daily housekeeping services. Romatec named representative of the year
Toronto-based Romatec was named Representative of the Year 2011 for North American sales by Hydro-Thermal Corp. of Waukesha, Wis. The
annual award is presented to the channel partner that demonstrates sales excellence and the characteristics of an engaged partner. Romatec had a 50 percent increase in sales for the year.

Pillow tanks from Aero Tec Laboratories were used by the New York City Fire Department in the cleanup of a fuel tanker accident. The truck, carrying 12,000 gallons of gasoline, rolled over while negotiating the Bruckner Interchange in Bronx, N.Y., spilling 1,700 gallons of fuel. Hazmat teams were able to safely transfer fuel from the leaking tanker to multiple bladders until it could be transported by a second tanker.

Thompson hosts 2012 Pumpology school
Thompson Pump & Manufacturing Co. held its 22nd annual Pumpology school at its corporate facilities in Port Orange, Fla. Fifty attendees from 19 states and three foreign countries participated in the three-day workshop, including training sessions for sales and service professionals in pumping fundamentals, dewatering and bypass applications, selecting the correct equipment, designing, installing and maintaining pumping systems and troubleshooting.
