SOR Controls Group acquired Smart Sensors of Houston, Texas. The acquisition will enable SOR to strengthen its portfolio of temperature measurement products for the oil and gas industry.
Dragon begins LPG storage tank production in Utah
Dragon Products, headquartered in Beaumont, Texas, has begun production of propane, NGL and Y-grade gas storage tanks at its Provo, Utah, facility.
Talbert adds trailer dealer, sales manager
Talbert Manufacturing named Ervin Equipment its dealer for new trailers in south Texas and Mexico. Ervin has an equipment facility in Laredo, Texas, and three locations in Mexico. Talbert also hired Jennifer Koepke as sales manager – West region.
Mueller Water Products plant receives OSHA recognition
The Mueller Water Products plant in Albertville, Ala., received Star certification from the United States Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA). Star level is the highest recognition presented by OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program.
WJTA-IMCA name officers, board
Bill Gaff, vice president of sales and marketing for Vacuum Truck Rentals and Vacuum Truck Sales, was elected 2013-2015 chairman of the board for the Waterject Technology Association (WJTA) – Industrial & Municipal Cleaning Association (IMCA). Also elected for the 2013-2015 term were George A. Savanick, president; Bill McClister, vice president; Kathy Krupp, secretary; and Larry Loper, treasurer. New board members include Fred D. Hyundai names Carolina heavy equipment dealer
Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas named May Heavy-Equip Rental & Sales, Lexington, N.C., an authorized dealer in the Carolina markets. May Heavy will carry Hyundai’s entire line of construction equipment, including crawler excavators, wheel loaders, wheeled excavators and mini-excavators.
Kalmar raises $101,000 for charity
The Kalmar Rough Terrain Center’s 5th Annual Golf Tournament raised $101,750 for the Army Fisher Houses of San Antonio Military Medical Center. The tournament was held at Canyon Spring Golf Club in San Antonio. Kalmar has raised more than $310,000 the past five years with 100 percent of the funds raised benefitting the charity.
Abato to head Doleco USA
Dolezych, German-based manufacturer of lifting equipment, named Ralph Abato to head its Doleco USA operation. He will be responsible for all facets of the company’s manufacturing and distribution facility in Meriden, Conn.

Industrial Safety Technologies completed acquisition of the Oldham fixed-point gas detection business from Industrial Scientific Corp. The sale includes Oldham’s headquarters in Arras, France, along with fixed system support and sales operations in China, Germany, India and the United States.
