SFC Energy AG, technology and market leader for portable, mobile, and off-grid power generation and distribution, has launched a new, functional generation of the EFOY Pro fuel cell generators for demanding security and surveillance applications. The small, compact power packs supply off-grid energy to stationary and mobile audio and video systems, property and border protection equipment, nature observation and traffic management systems, and many more applications.
The guaranteed lifetime has been increased by 50 percent to 4,500 operating hours; operating costs have been reduced by up to 40 percent. The advantages of the new EFOY Pro generation are 24/7 power reliability in any weather and season and an extremely long system autonomy in all kinds of applications operated away from the grid.
The new EFOY Pro fuel cell generators are available in two power versions (EFOY Pro 800 with 45-watt resp. and EFOY Pro 2400 with 110-watt maximum nominal power). In the new generation, the power of the strongest EFOY Pro has been increased again by more than 20 percent. Both models are also available as Duo versions, with two fuel cartridge connectors. This new product feature was introduced to enable even longer, intervention-free system autonomy. An EFOY Pro 800 Duo, for example, will automatically power a video camera with a continuous power requirement of 25 watts for 100 days without needing any user intervention — significantly reducing operating and logistic cost for the operator.

The new EFOY Pro fuel cell generators are just as silent, weather independent, maintenance-free, remote controllable, and environmentally friendly as their predecessors.
They can be installed covertly, on board of vehicles, in a power cabinet or in a weatherproof outdoor box, for mobile or stationary applications. EFOY Pro fuel cell generators are also an ideal hybrid or backup power source in PV scenarios. Whenever solar module performance decreases, the fuel cell generator automatically starts operation and closes the power gap. This avoids large, costly solar constructions.
