Partners in Motion and Landmark Media Productions, two award-winning international media companies, announce production on the development phase for a new factual/reality television series that examines the daily lives of people that live in Sidney, Mont., and Williston, N.D. The production is seeking actual captivating individuals that represent the communities to be involved in the series as key characters of this exciting new show.

“The series will introduce audiences throughout the world to the unique stories of various residents within the communities, including support services workers,” says Jeff Stecyk, general manager at Partners in Motion.

“The initial program concept originated with Landmark Media Productions in conjunction with ongoing development between the companies,” he continues. “The series will be developed and produced by both Partners in Motion and Landmark.”

Until recently, the Bakken Formation in the north central United States and Canada was an untapped pool of natural resources. Advances in drilling techniques have led to it becoming one of the biggest oil producers in North America. But with that black gold, the towns that surround the Bakken have been changed – forever. “Bakken Boom Towns” chronicles the stories of Sidney, Mont., and Williston, N.D. – its citizens both old and new.

While the show will most likely be considered a reality series based on today’s standards, Stecyk doesn’t like that term. “The term ‘reality show’ has sadly undertaken a broad and stereotypical meaning – in contrast to the mainstream perception derived from popular TV shows that are contrived to entertain, ‘Bakken Boom Towns’ is a real objective factual or docusoap series that will document real people and their stories,” he says.

To be considered, send an email, along with a description of yourself and why you would like to participate in the show, no later than August 14, 2013, to [email protected].
